Toyota Safety Sense™ (TSS) was designed to enhance driver awareness, proper vehicle operation, driver decision-making, and driving performance in a range of speeds and weather conditions. • Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/PD): With an in-vehicle camera and millimeter-wave radars on the front grille, your Toyota will help detect automobiles and pedestrians alike. The system will prompt you to take corrective action with visual and audio alerts, and can even automatically hit the brakes for you if you do not react in time!
• Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC): This is a step well above your average cruise control function. This system will adjust vehicle speed automatically to maintain a preset distance between you and the automobile in front of you. The driver has full control of the vehicle-to-vehicle distance!
• Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA): If you begin to unknowingly drift from your lane, you will be alerted and prompted to return. If necessary, minor corrective steering inputs can be applied automatically to assist you returning to your lane.
• Automatic High Beams (AHB): Your Toyota will detect the headlights of an oncoming car and taillights of a preceding car alike, and automatically switch between high and low beams as appropriate. This helps the visibility of both you and your fellow drivers on the road!
